Preschools & Childcare

Air you can answer to parents about

Toddlers spend their day on the floor, close to new furniture and flooring that is still off-gassing. We supply preschools and childcare centres certified non-toxic products, plus the test documentation parents ask for.

Why this sector needs it

A childcare centre is the hardest room in Singapore to get right. The furniture is new and cheaply built, which means more pressed board and more formaldehyde. The rooms are air-conditioned and kept shut. And the occupants are on the floor, breathing faster than adults for their body size, for ten hours a day. Add nap rooms and nappy-change areas and you have an odour problem sitting on top of the formaldehyde one. We supply centres and early-years groups with water-based, OECD 420 non-toxic products for both, and the SGS paperwork that ends the conversation with a worried parent.

What you're dealing with

Children are at floor level

Formaldehyde is heavier than air and concentrates low in a room. Toddlers play, crawl and nap right in it, and take in more air per kilo of body weight than any adult in the building.

Flat-pack furniture, sealed rooms

Cots, cubbies, low shelving and play mats arrive as pressed board and foam, into rooms that stay air-conditioned and closed all day. Very little of it ventilates out on its own.

Parents ask, and they should

Centres get asked about air quality directly. A certified product with test results on file is a straight answer; a reassurance is not.

How we treat it

1

Treat before intake

Apply the Formaldehyde Remover across new cots, cubbies, shelving and flooring during a closure or over a weekend, before the children come back in.

2

Handle nap and change rooms

Use the Deodoriser on the rooms that hold odour — nap rooms, nappy-change areas and shoe storage — so the whole centre stays fresh, not just the classrooms.

3

Keep the documentation

Every bulk order ships with the SGS certification and OECD 420 result, ready for parents, licensing and management.

Questions

It is water-based and classified non-toxic under OECD 420 (LD50 > 2000 mg/kg·bw). Most centres still treat during a closure or weekend so the surfaces cure fully before children return, which is what we recommend.

That is largely ammonia. In independent lab testing the Deodoriser removed over 90% of ammonia, and it neutralises the compound rather than covering it with fragrance.

Yes. Bulk orders include the SGS certification and test results, so you can put the actual numbers in front of parents and management.

Both. We supply by the case for a single centre and in bulk with trade pricing for multi-centre groups. Tell us how many rooms and we will quote it.
