Readings taken with a formaldehyde meter on new cabinetry in a Singapore home, before treatment and after curing.
A meter reading in one home is not a laboratory test — conditions vary and consumer meters drift. The 93.83% figure is SGS Singapore under controlled conditions. If you are reading a meter yourself, see what HCHO and TVOC numbers mean.

Yes — that is exactly what the spray is for. DIY formaldehyde removal at home is simple: shake the bottle, spray new furniture and the inside of cabinets and wardrobes from 20–30cm, let it dry, then ventilate. No machines or professional treatment needed.
Spray the UCOATE hand spray evenly over the new piece — including inside drawers, cabinets and wardrobes where it off-gasses most — let it dry naturally, and avoid wiping the surface for 3–5 days. Re-spray after 30 minutes for stronger cases.

Yes. It is water-based and classified non-toxic under OECD 420 (LD50 > 2000 mg/kg·bw), so it is safe to use in homes with children and pets when you follow the directions on the bottle.
It uses the same formula UCOATE has tested with SGS Singapore and to the EN 717-1 and OECD 420 standards. In SGS laboratory testing the formulation removed 93.83% of formaldehyde.
One 500ml bottle treats over 50 m², which works out at roughly two full-height wardrobes or eight cabinet drawers. Coverage varies with how porous the surface is, so allow a margin on bare board.
Same chemistry, different format. The spray is a 500ml hand bottle made for DIY spot treatment at home; the trade Formaldehyde Remover is supplied in bulk to contractors and applicators for whole-home and commercial jobs.
It forms a coating on the surface and keeps working from there, so this is not an instant fix. Let it dry and cure properly — best results come after full curing, with the doors and drawers left open for 2–3 days.
No. It is a simple spray application — no UV lamp, no machine, no professional kit. That is the difference from photocatalyst coatings, which only react under light.
Yes, once the coating has fully cured — give it 3–5 days. After that, plain water is enough for normal cleaning, and a mild detergent is fine on residual stains. Wiping it down before it cures takes the coating off with the dirt.
